With the way the summer is going currently (cold) I'm thinking the only way to improve this situation is to bring outside in!
Although strictly outside, absolutely covering your house or studio with plants would make coming home a bit more summery.
Terrariums,
different bunches of Spring flowers in jam jars or milk bottles (as created by That Flower shop),
or just lots and lots of houseplants.
