With the New Year now under way, I thought it would be nice to do some posts on inspiring lives. Carolyn Roumuguere is a jeweller based in the Masai Plains. She then travels to New York and Paris to sell her jewellery, and works on collections for designers such as Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan.
Carolyn uses her plane to fly to Nairobi and explore the local area. The man she bought her plane from is now her long-term partner and they have a beautiful family together. This is her commute..
And this is her home. Her bedroom overlooks a large waterfall.
The way Carolyn combines colours and designs jewellery has been heavily influenced by the amazing people in the area who are always bedecked with lots of jewellery. Carolyn and her partner also do a lot of work to help local schools and protect the area ecologically.
